On May 1, I joined a tour of street trees on the state house grounds and some surrounding streets, led by a former Concord City Planner, members of the Tree Subcommittee, and Councilor Brown! Different eras of planning, economic ebbs and flows, direction from the state government, and environmental advocacy have shaped many of the choices made for our downtown tree canopy. I look forward to hearing about the work our Community Development department will be completing on this exact topic with a fellow from UNH this summer!
